East Pass Charter Conditions

Henderson Beach Surf Fishing
Spanish mackerel and ladyfish are the most reliable beach and pier targets, with hardtail availability increasing in the nearshore Gulf. The moderate rip rating is the thing to weigh if you are wading: heading out to reach the trough puts you in exactly the water where rips form, and they run strongest near the pass. Stay shallow, keep a foot planted, and do not wade alone — or fish from dry sand and let the current work for you. The 7:48 PM low is the latest of the three. Destin has no municipal pier, so the beach and the boats are the options.
