Thursday is mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s — slightly cooler than Wednesday rather than warmer — and surf of 1 to 2 feet. From Thursday night the National Weather Service raises rip current risk to moderate, with surf building to 2 to 3 feet on Friday before easing back to low by Saturday. Gulf water temperatures hold in the upper 80s for now and will begin their seasonal cool-down through October rather than climbing further.
