Hardtail — Mixed with the bluefish and bonita near pier pilings and over sandy bottom. Consistent through the day wherever current is concentrated.
Bonita — Holding with the other species near the trough and around current breaks. Reliable response to tidal movement.
Cigs — Mixed through the depths along all three beaches, with steady presence around the pier ends and trough.
Redfish — Close to shore near the trough and current breaks. Worth targeting through the tide changes in areas with concentrated moving water.
Best approach today: fish the morning and plan around each beach's midday tidal transition.
Optimal Fishing Windows
Four tidal movements at each location keep water moving through most of the day. Pensacola's midday high arrives first at 0.85 ft at 11:34 AM, followed by Navarre at 0.95 ft at 1:52 PM and Destin at 0.39 ft at 3:41 PM. Lows run 8:29 AM and 7:16 PM at Navarre, 7:09 AM and 6:39 PM at Pensacola, and 10:44 AM and 6:46 PM at Destin. Morning periods and the midday transitions are producing the most consistent action. Navarre Beach
Red flag, so wade and surf fishing from in the water are out — the pier is the play. Bluefish and ladyfish are accessible through the day along the pier ends, the trough and current breaks, with light winds keeping conditions workable. The 1:52 PM high is the window to plan around. Pensacola Beach

Bluefish, hardtail and bonita show solid potential around the 11:34 AM high — the earliest of the three and probably the best single window of the day. Destin
Yellow flag, so wading is permitted with caution, though the purple flag makes bare legs in the water a poor idea today. Bluefish, ladyfish and hardtail are showing good activity, and the 3:41 PM high should trigger feeding. Southwest to west winds at 4–15 mph and 2.6 ft of surf are manageable but the roughest of the three beaches. Verify current pier access with local facilities.
