That warning has expired, but scattered storms remain likely through the day with rain chances in the 75 to 85 percent range. What's Active Today
Spanish Mackerel — Still the most dependable target across all three beaches. Pier ends and sandbar cuts where moving water concentrates bait remain the spots. Work the windows between storm cells rather than committing to a long session.
Ladyfish — Mixed through shallow and intermediate depths, consistent around pier structures through the day. The least weather-sensitive option on the list.
Hardtail — Running with the mackerel near pier ends and over sandy bottom. Reasonable response around the tide changes.
Cigs — Mixed in deeper water. Outer sandbar cuts and pier reach are where you will find them; boat access improves the odds considerably today given the beach restrictions.
King Mackerel — Holding in deeper water and off the ends of the longer piers. Slack water around the tide change is the window worth waiting for.
Best approach today: fish the breaks between cells and plan around each beach's high tide rather than around time of day.
Optimal Fishing Windows
Tide changes are the anchor today since the usual early-morning window was lost to storms. Pensacola's high tide arrives first at 1.37 ft at 11:12 AM, followed by Navarre at 1.41 ft at 1:10 PM and Destin at 0.60 ft at 2:05 PM. Low tides run 7:44 PM at Pensacola, 9:39 PM at Navarre and 11:00 PM at Destin. If a clear stretch lines up with one of those highs, that is the session worth taking. Navarre Beach
Red flag, so wade and surf fishing from in the water are out. The pier is the play — Spanish mackerel, ladyfish and hardtails along the pier ends, kings in the deeper water off the end. Pensacola Beach
Red flag plus purple for dangerous marine life. The 11:12 AM high tide is the earliest of the three and probably the best single window of the day if the weather allows. Pier and boat access only. Destin
Double red — the water is closed, and there is no municipal pier here. Surf fishing at Henderson Beach is limited to casting from dry sand, which cuts your reach substantially at 2.6 ft of surf. Charter operations out of the East Pass may still be running, but offshore conditions and afternoon storms are the limiting factor; confirm directly with your operator at HarborWalk.
