High solunar activity, warm water and morning high tides set up another solid beach fishing day across Navarre, Pensacola and Destin. Yellow flags and a moderate rip current risk mean anglers should respect the surf zone, but around 2 feet of surf and manageable west to southwest wind keep the morning window workable.
What's Active Today
Spanish mackerel — Still the primary target along all three beaches. Focus on pier pilings, deeper troughs, outer sandbars and visible bait schools during the morning tide push.
Hardtail and cigs — Reliable backup targets around pier structure and sandy bottom zones. They should stay present even if the mackerel bite fades after the tide slows.
Bonita, jack crevalle and king mackerel — Possible around deeper water, pier ends and East Pass current lines. Boat access or the far end of a pier improves the odds.
Best Fishing Windows
The strongest window should be around the morning high tides: 7:40 AM at Navarre Beach, 7:48 AM at Pensacola Beach Pier and 10:01 AM at East Pass in Destin. Expect the bite to slow after the morning tide push fades and the afternoon heat and southwest wind settle in.
Location Breakdown
Navarre Beach: Spanish mackerel and hardtail remain the best targets around the pier, deeper troughs and outer sandbars. The early tide window is the best time to be in position.
Pensacola Beach: Pier structure and deeper cuts near Casino Beach should hold the most bait early. Spanish mackerel, hardtail and bonita are the main targets.
Destin: East Pass current movement gives charter boats the best setup late morning. Henderson Beach surf fishing is more dependent on finding clean troughs and bait schools.

Sound side: Trout and redfish should still be more comfortable around docks, grass edges and shaded shorelines once the Gulf beach bite slows.
All three beaches are under yellow flags with moderate rip current risk. Fish from dry sand, piers or charter boats if you are unsure about entering the surf.
