Fair — conditions shifting, morning bite best. Building south-southwest winds (5-18 mph) and elevated seas (3.1-3.3 ft) are putting more texture in the water compared to the calm stretch earlier in the week. Solunar forecast is good for fish activity, and the bite will concentrate around the morning high tide push — 1:26 PM at Navarre, 12:05 PM at Pensacola — before tapering off into the afternoon as wind and sun ramp up.
The morning window is your best bet. Late afternoon fishing will be tough with increasingly choppy conditions. Heads up that both beaches are flying Red flags today — the action is at the piers, not the surf.
What's Biting Today
Spanish Mackerel
Moving through both the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier and Pensacola Beach Pier. Got-Cha plugs and small spoons retrieved fast are the play, especially around the morning high tide push.
King Mackerel
Cruising slightly deeper water offshore and around the ends of the piers. Live hardtails and spoons are worth tossing — a few hookups are being reported from both boats and pier pilings. If you want a shot at a king from the pier, get out early and stake out the end.
Hardtail
Baitfish schools are showing at both locations. Use them live under a float or freelined for bigger predators, or work them on light tackle when the bite is active.
Ladyfish
Feeding on the incoming tide at both piers. Small artificials and live shrimp are producing strikes. Expect spirited runs and acrobatic displays — fun fight on light gear.
7:00–10:30 AM (morning high tide window) and 7:00–9:00 PM (evening incoming) are your prime windows. Solunar is good and the morning tide push aligns nicely. Skip the midday-to-late-afternoon stretch — the wind and chop will work against you.

Pier Report — Navarre
Navarre Beach Fishing Pier is seeing steady action with Spanish mackerel, hardtail, and ladyfish moving through on the morning tide. Kings are out of reach without a boat for most anglers, but a few are hooking up within sight of the pier using live bait around the pilings. Aim for the two hours on either side of the 1:26 PM high — and then pack it in before the afternoon wind makes casting miserable. Contact Navarre Beach Marine Park for current pier hours and access fees.
Pier Report — Pensacola
Pensacola Beach Pier is producing Spanish mackerel and hardtail along with passing schools of ladyfish. The 12:05 PM high tide is your best window before afternoon wind and sun slow the action. Anglers staking out the pier end have the best shot at a king on a live hardtail. Contact the pier directly for current hours and access information.
