Today's Rating
Fair โ€” Average Conditions, Morning Tide Best
โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…

Light southeast flow (4โ€“8 mph) and relatively calm seas (1.8โ€“2 ft) make for fishable conditions, but the solunar rating is just average today. The bite will concentrate around the morning highs โ€” 8:33 AM at Pensacola, 9:15 AM at Navarre โ€” before tapering off into the afternoon lows (Pensacola 4:53 PM, Navarre 6:31 PM). Work the piers and adjacent surf early, then don't expect much until late evening.

What's Biting Today

Spanish MackerelHot ยท Pier
Moving through both the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier and Pensacola Beach Pier. Got-Cha plugs and small spoons retrieved fast are producing, especially around the morning high tide push.
BluefishHot ยท Pier
Mixed in with the Spanish mackerel at both piers. Hitting the same lures โ€” keep a wire leader handy if you want to avoid bite-offs.
Cigs (Cigar Minnows)Bait ยท Pier
Large schools passing both piers. Dead cigs on a sabiki rig or freelined are drawing strikes from mackerel and the occasional king.
King MackerelBoat
Cruising in slightly deeper water offshore. A few hookups reported from boats trolling live cigs and spoons within sight of the piers. Not wide-open, but worth putting a bait out.
AmberjackBoat ยท Reefs
Holding over wrecks and artificial reefs accessible by boat. Live hardtails or vertical jigs around structure are producing โ€” expect a workout.
PompanoSurf
In the surf zone along both coastlines. Sand fleas and Fishbites are getting the best results in the first trough. Navarre's calmer 1.8-ft surf may have an edge, but Pensacola's 2-ft is still fishable.

๐ŸŒŠ Pensacola Beach Pier

Mackerel Mix & Sporadic Pompano

Producing Spanish mackerel and bluefish along with passing schools of cigs. Pompano sporadically in the surf around the pier pilings. Like Navarre, the morning high is your best window โ€” afternoon low around 4:53 PM will likely be slow. Contact the pier for current hours and fees.

๐ŸŽฃ Today's Game Plan

Be on the pier by 7:00 AM with Got-Cha plugs and a sabiki for cigs. Throw fast retrieves until the morning high passes (~9 AM Navarre, ~8:30 AM Pensacola), then either chase pompano in the surf with sand fleas or pack it up until the evening rebound around 8 PM.
