East Pass Charter Conditions
Mirror-flat water and winds under 10 mph make for the easiest run out through East Pass you could ask for, and solunar rates very high. Bonita and yellowtail snapper in the nearshore Gulf are the premium targets, and conditions for reaching them rank among the best of the season. The 1:42 PM high and the 2:51 PM low frame a tight afternoon transition worth working. For surf fishing at Henderson Beach, Spanish mackerel and ladyfish provide solid beachfront action with redfish around the pier and structure areas; with low rip risk and no purple flag, wading is straightforward. Destin has no municipal pier, so the beach and the boats are the options. Half-day and full-day trips run out of Destin Harbor year-round, and weekend slots fill quickly.
