Overall rating: Good. Yellow flags across all three beaches mark a return to normal conditions after a red-flag weekend. West-southwest winds at 4-15 mph and wave heights of 1.4-1.6 ft. Water runs 80-81°F. Very high solunar — one of the strongest readings of the season. Three deep negative low tides this evening set up excellent late-day windows at all locations.

What's Active Today

Spanish mackerel are the primary target across all three locations. Position near pier pilings, in deeper troughs, and along the outer sandbars. Peak activity during morning hours and around tidal transitions.

Hardtail are running alongside mackerel near pier structures and over sandy bottom. Present throughout the day with heightened activity during tide changes and near deeper structure.

Ladyfish are working the shallow nearshore environment — sandy areas near the shoreline and tidal flats where food concentrates.

Bonita are mixed in with other species in deeper water zones. Boat access or extended pier reach improves your odds.

Cigar minnows are running alongside adult mackerel and hardtail throughout the water column — strong bite expected all day and useful as live bait for bigger targets.

Pompano should work the wash during incoming tide. Yellow flags mean normal wading access — fish the trough from knee depth for the best angle.

Best Times to Fish Today

✓ Very High Solunar — Outstanding Bite Day

Very high solunar — one of the strongest ratings of the season. Tide windows: Navarre high at 10:12 AM (1.71 ft) and low at 9:46 PM (-0.23 ft), Pensacola high at 8:53 AM (1.76 ft) and low at 7:52 PM (-0.19 ft), Destin high at 11:21 AM (0.75 ft) and low at 11:03 PM (-0.05 ft). All three locations post significantly negative evening lows — pulling water off the sandbars and stacking fish in the troughs. Morning periods and the evening low are both prime windows.

Navarre Beach

King mackerel and Spanish mackerel are the morning targets around the high tide. Conditions are cleaner today — 20% rain chance — so get out early for the best action. Pier ends, deeper troughs, and outer sandbars remain the consistent spots. Contact Navarre Beach Marine Park for current pier access fees.
